Religion: Take Off Your Pants

Pants-ing Religion Religion, like pants, is (are?) a cultural invention. Namely the organized kind, with certain rules…or patterns. As we all know pants come in many different patterns that fit different people in different ways. Personally, I like a stretchy boot cut jean. It forms to my body while providing balance and a little flair. Pants tell the world about our style, cleanliness, and even social status. Religion does the same (though I‘m not sure hygiene can calculate religion). Sometimes, we’re given hand-me-downs, and sometimes these fit us fine. Other times we like to head to the vintage store to see what else looks

Not To Be

I was told I could be anything And eagerly applied To search the world for everything For if I can be anything I’d like to think I tried So try did I To be anything and everything But each time was denied For all these things were other things And none of them were I That I could be anything And everything And even things not I Is a thing I learned a lie So why? Why tell one they can be anything When no one can be anything Oneself does not abide?
